3 Valentine’s Day Crafts For Your Toddler

Get your children excited for Valentine’s Day with fun easy crafts! Having fun while practicing motor skills has never been easier. With a few supplies, you can make this holiday great! Whether it’s at home with your little one or in a classroom with all of their friends, get them excited for the holiday.

Handmade Valentine’s

Start with a few supplies from the craft store: colorful paper, stickers, paint, sponges, colorful puff balls, glitter or anything else you can think of! You can even get materials from your pantry at home. Macaroni, beans or cereal can all be used in this craft. Let your child get creative! Cut a heart shape out of a piece of paper and let your child do the rest. Cut the sponges into heart or flower shapes so they can dip them in the paint and stamp the paper. Give them some glue so they can stick all of the materials onto a card. If you don’t mind the mess give them some glitter. This craft is a great way to let them be creative and use all kinds of materials.

Jewelry Making

This simple craft lets your kids get creative and make gifts for all of their loved ones. Cut out different lengths of string so they can make all kinds of necklaces and bracelets. Tie a knot at the end and let them get started. Fill bowls with all kinds of beads or you can use macaroni and cereal. They will have fun combining colors and shapes while practicing their fine motor skills at the same time.

Paper Flowers

An easy craft that the kids will love and a great gift parents will want to keep. Have each child trace their hand on a piece of paper with a pencil. Do this on multiple pieces of colored paper, and have them design them any way they want using the same materials from the valentines such as markers, stickers, glitter, etc. Once they have designed them how they like, use scissors and help them cut out the hand shapes. Glue each cut out to a wooden stick and bunch them together into a bouquet. You can glue the sticks together, or just wrap a rubber band or ribbon around them.
